SignUp Now!Oh, I'm definitely not saying they could or should do more Lego superhero movies. Just that Lego Batman is hilarious. The Lego Batman only worked because it took a comedy approach to a formerly only seriously portrayed superhero. I would like to see a Nightwing or genuine Teen Titans film.
I watched some of it; but, I couldn't stand how they portrayed the characters. CW ruins a lot of the shows they make because they make them too much like Highschool Music and not as much like Supernatural. If Teen Titans had some of the filming techniques employed by Supernatural with the darker lighting and more 'mature' overtures, it would probably be doing better.Oh, I'm definitely not saying they could or should do more Lego superhero movies. Did you ever watch that Titans show? I watched a few episodes, but never finished because it felt a little "CW" - esque / teen, edgy to me. I've heard it improves. Thought about watching Doom Patrol as well.
As much as I like Supernatural, I find that a lot of The CW's worst qualities are prevalent in Supernatural as well.I watched some of it; but, I couldn't stand how they portrayed the characters. But that's exactly why I would love a Teen Titans film that gives the team a villain like Raven's father.
The first six seasons are my favorite of the show and they did an excellent job in introducing Sam and Dean, building up a major villain and reaching a climax. A lot of the seasons after were hit or miss.As much as I like Supernatural, I find that a lot of The CW's worst qualities are prevalent in Supernatural as well.
Agreed. I liked the first few seasons quite a bit. I believe I made it to about Season 10 before I tapped out though. The first six seasons are my favorite of the show and they did an excellent job in introducing Sam and Dean, building up a major villain and reaching a climax. I think he'd be a good Lobo! You should trudge through to the end. They gave it a really fitting ending that tied up everything.
Back on topic though, thoughts on Jason Momoa switching from playing Aquaman to Lobo?
I think you mean the opposite of well. It was doing horrible two, even three weeks after initial release with very little in the way of competition from other blockbusters.I saw Shazam was being added to digital recently. Must've not done very well.
For perspective, Shazam! 2 is set to make about half of what the original film did. That first Shazam was far from a blockbuster either. Morbius was bashed relentlessly, however, it was actually a more successful film. We're looking at losses upwards of 100-150 million.I think you mean the opposite of well. That would explain why they released it to digital so early, probably hoping to cut down on those losses a little with people buying digital copies. For perspective, Shazam! 2 is set to make about half of what the original film did. On the topic of Lobo, I am not very familiar with the character, but I'm interested.
Eh. I'm not impressed. I would have been more excited for a Booster Gold and Blue Beetle movie than just a solo film. And I don't think anyone cared about Batgirl other than that it was going to have Michael Keaton as Batman again. What was everyone's reaction to that Blue Beetle trailer? ... because I had a rather lukewarm reaction to it. How cheap / low-quality could Batgirl have been that Blue Beetle could receive a release and not it? Or do you think it's more a matter of Blue Beetle not doing any significant damage to a major property (i.e. Batman).
The special-effects in the Blue Beetle film were what did it in for me. I don't think people necessarily cared about Batgirl, but I definitely think they care about it more than they will ever care about Blue Beetle (unless the trailer is misleadingly bad).Eh.
