[Official] Writing Goals Log

So, I have been in a little bit of a slump this year when it comes to writing and meeting the goals and expectations I have for myself (on the other-hand, I feel like I have, in turn, improved on other goals I have in the real world). As an effort to bring myself back up to code, I have decided to create a Diary or log for myself to keep on-track and consistent. For me, it helps to have a public place to document my progression (almost like it creates a sense of expectation or a more imposed deadline). I will update once a week and slowly but surely I hope to reach all of my goals.

Feel free to log your own goals and document them as well!

This year I want to: ​

• Finish the fourth installment of The Canes series.​
• Finish The Red Flux & the King's Crown​
• Finish Even in Death story​

So far, I have:

• The first three episodes of The Canes book are finished (3 out of 6).
• The first 9,500 words of The Red Flux 2 are written and presentable (out of about 100,000 words).
• The first draft of Even in Death is finished.

I'm working, I'm working... (although, slowly)

• The fourth episode of The Canes 4 book is now finished. I am currently working on an edit of that episode as we speak (I have added an additional 500 words to the episode's manuscript). I am about 3,000 words into the fifth episode (each episode is about 7,000 - 10,000 words apiece). The sixth episode of each book is usually the shortest, only about 4,000 or so words.

I finished a novelette I had been working on and a short story. Both are kind of, sort of on the horror side of things. The former mixes science-fiction in a Blade Runner - esque manner.

So,

in an update,

- I did finish The Red Flux & the King's Crown.
- I also did finish the Even in Death story.
- I didn't finish The Canes IV (although I am close)

As a bonus though,
- I finished the first draft of a new story altogether. I wrote a new story called Sylver & Gold, and I finished my first draft in about a month. Pretty happy about that.
